This tree from Sierra Nevada in California holds the title "world's biggest tree" (General Sherman 285ft tall and 80ft circumference). Introduced into this country in 1853, the same year as the Duke of Wellington's death, it is not surprising it took his name. Never blown down they certainly have some wow factor.
